Do you want a house that is clean, well-organized and maintained? Ha! With work and family obligations, parents are busier than ever. Even if you get home by 6 pm, it’s hard to make dinner, read the mail and have quality time with your family.
How can we fit in the weekly tasks and chores while maintaining a normal lifestyle?
Relax. A parent can achieve almost anything with a plan. While still enjoying your weekends, you can accomplish your weekly tasks. You can also ask your family members to help out.
It is important to divide large household chores into smaller and more manageable tasks. Another part of the trick is to involve everyone in your family in order to complete the task. In my small group of family testers, I’ve developed time-tested methods that have been proven to work. They will get your kids involved and teach valuable life skills.
Are you ready for a new way to manage your family and home?
Here are my 10 top strategies for regaining control over your home and family life.
1. Do not touch anything that does not ask for your attention. If dirt and dust are not easily visible, you can leave them for later. 2. Each minute counts. You can do multiple tasks simultaneously. 3. Do your chores outside. Use a doormat to keep dirt from entering the house. Only eat in the dining room and kitchen.
4. Don’t interrupt. Voicemail can take your calls. Text messages can be ignored until the task has been completed.
5. Be realistic. If you do not have the time to clean or want to, adjust your expectations.
6. Call the troops for help. Families who work together will have more time for play.
7. Preventing germs spreading in your home will help you maintain a healthy environment. Make time to clean the kitchen and bathroom.
8. Allergens have gotten out of hand. Vacuum frequently and wash bed linens with hot soapy water to get rid of dustmites.
9. Reduce the number houseplants you have in your home. You don’t need to spend a lot of time on your indoor plants. Pick a few easy-to-care for plants and then weed out the rest.
10. Make your home safe. Uncluttered homes help to prevent accidents.
Ask anyone how much money they spend each month. They might not be able to answer. Don’t be shocked; this is a common occurrence.
Many people do not know the total amount of their monthly expenses. This is a big problem. There is a solution to this problem. Keep track of your monthly expenses. All receipts are important (grocery bills, restaurant bills and utility bills). Add up your expenses, and then check out your bank statement. It’s easy as pie!
Remember to track all expenses, including those paid for with credit cards and cash.
This is to give you a rough estimate of the total or to help you get a better idea. You will be able to get a full picture of your finances and how you can manage them.
